FT.com / Tax - Tax returns hit by HMRC software bug: "Hundreds of people have been prevented from completing their tax returns online – and claiming thousands of pounds of tax relief – by a software bug that HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has not fixed for several months.
The tax authority has now been forced to issue an apology after customers filing their self-assessment returns via the internet complained of being locked out of their online accounts.
